About the Role:
Smart10 is recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager - ECommerce, to join a thriving and growing entrepreneurial start up business which specialises in online retail.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Manager who has previous experience in managing a warehouse and overseeing the end-to-end process of an ecommerce warehouse.
The role is fundamental to the business and would be directly involved in the planning the strategy of effective business operations. As a 'Hands on' manager, the OM would be required to ensure the effective operations of all warehouse operations, including goods inwards, stock management, order fulfilment and logistics. They will lead by example and motivate their team to ensure high standards are kept.
The ideal candidate will be flexible and reliable and enjoy working as part of a busy team. You will have proven experience at this level and ideally hold strong operational experience, with a background in supply chain and warehouse management.

Overall operational effectiveness of all warehousing and fulfilment activities (goods inwards, stock management, order
fulfilment and logistics)
Management and development of staff to meet the needs of the business and to exceed customer expectation
Recruitment and subsequent training of new staff
Close collaboration with company retail departments for stock management and order fulfilment Managing Warehouse, Logistics, Assembly and fulfilment to provide an unrivalled level of service to customers and meet
same-day and next-day delivery targets
Devise and implement a suitable Warehouse Management procedures and SOPs to support the business’s Customer First philosophy, KPI’s and growth objectives
Interpret and action sales data and inventory analysis to ensure the availability and accurate picking, dispatch and delivery of stock in line with forecasted customer demands.
Oversee the purchasing of materials and services to meet demand, specifications, cost quality with on-time delivery
Ensure that works orders, pick lists, purchase orders, quotes, telephone enquiries, deliveries, supplier invoices and invoice
queries are processed accurately and within agreed timescales
Implementing and policies and procedures to ensure industry compliance
Overseeing Health & Safety, including performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements and working practices
Plan and implement a project to expand company warehouse capacity
Manage 3PL relationships ensuring KPI and SLAs are met
Implement and review a disaster recovery and Business Continuity plan
