Job Description

Job Title: Experienced IT Service Desk Engineer
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum, (Depending on experience)
Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5.30pm
Due to continued success, a local IT Services Provider who are located in the Heart of Hertford, are seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Service Desk Engineer to join their team

Skills Required

• Previous experience working within an IT Services Provider is essential for this role
• Excellent knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365 & SQL
• Excellent knowledge of server virtualisation using Hyper-V & System Centre
• Excellent knowledge of Networking Protocols inc. TCP / IP, DNS, HSCP, NAT, VLANS & L2 + L3 Routing etc
• Azure & AWS Cloud Services experience required
• Linux operating systems experience would be highly beneficial

Responsibilities

Handle escalated technical issues regarding Microsoft’s ‘Core Business Applications’
Support and rectify disaster recovery solutions
Technical support at network level inc. WAN/LAN, routers, firewalls & security
Remote access solution implementation inc. VPN, remote desktop and citrix etc
Keep customers informed of progress, providing a service of excellence at all times
Share expertise knowledge, support other service desk engineers as and when required
